A MAJOR road in Rochford has been closed due to a crash involving a car and a motorbike.
Ashingdon Road, in Rochford, has reportedly been shut both ways, according to AA Traffic News.
It is believed to be due to a crash involving a car and a motorbike.
As a result, there are severe delays in the area and the surrounding roads.
Julie Gooding, councillor responsible for Hawkwell West, also confirmed the crash, and urged residents to avoid the area if possible.
She added: “Accident on Ashingdon Road. Consequently, surrounding roads gridlocked.
“Avoid if possible.”
Emergency services will be contacted for comment by the Echo.
